Was it because it's newer? no, that happened months ago.
Was it because it had more storage space? no, I hadn't used even half of what I had.
Was it because it's faster? Well, somewhat. The web browsing is slow on the old one.
Most of all it was because of the cumulative effect of their full page ads about all the apps for the iPhone. Yes, most of them will work with the old phone, but some that are cool work with the GPS function on the 3G phone.
By the way, the difference in monthly cost with AT&T is only an increase of $10/month - plus of course an extension of your contract.
Have you noticed if your new phone happens to have letter on the numeric pad or not? My fancy phone does not and it sure is a pain when you try to dial 1-877-hot-blondes and you cant figure out what numbers line up with the letters.

Robert - it has one screen for letters and another screen for numbers.
Charles - so far, I love it! By reading the manual online, I've learned how to do things I wasn't doing with my old one. I prefer Verizon to AT&T locally, but we have no choice.
will someone please explain to me what 3G is? I feel so behind the times.
I'm jumping into the world of smart phones this weekend. My husband is getting me the Sprint Touch which is supposed to be Sprint's phone that is compatible with Apple's iPhone. I can't wait!
