Monkey Crossing in Costa Rica

Monkey Crossing

One of many interesting road signs here in Costa Rica - monkey crossing, or Caution: Monkeys!

This was one taken yesterday at Reserva Conchal near Tamarindo,  in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica, when a colleague was showing me real estate opportunities for our clients.

The weather each day has been a low of 70 and a high of 84, with a delightful breeze off the Pacific.

Just shows what we'll endure to do due diligence for our clients!

I love Costa Rica and go every chance I get. The Howeler monkeys are really a sight to see. Their howl or cry is pretty scary sounding. Try to make it to La Paz to see the 19 waterfalls and the hummingbirds. It is amazing!

Pura Vida!

I love interesting road signs. I once saw a road sign in Ireland for a car failing off a cliff.

Have fun in Costa Rica!

Hi Sharon, You are out of that cold Florida weather.  Good for you.  Yesterday clients in Florida told me how cold it has been there.

Love the monkey crossing sign.  In Texas we have deer crossing signs.

I'm used to deer crossing signs, plus duck crossing alerts...a monkey warning is very different, indeed.   The warm weather temps sound most inviting!!!!!

The one that you see everywhere is "Slow Children"  I wonder if that is a statement on the schools in the area.  LOL

I was looking forward to seeing your posts from this trip. I love Costa Rica and spent 3 weeks hiking through the jungles of the Oso peninsula, Corcovado, zip lining in the rain forests and generally having a fantastic time with a group of Boy Scouts! Here is a picture that reminded me of a couple of agents from the old days...Costa Rican Crocodile We took pictures of a whole crowd of these sunning themselves and we definitely kept our distance!

Sharon--Sounds wonderfully warm...I would love a monkey crossing sign. So much more unique than a stop sign or yield sign illegally hanging in the back of your garage. ;)

Betina - great suggestion but it will have to wait for the next trip.

Integrity - interesting. In the UK I saw a caution: sheep crossing sign.

Shirley - yes, we picked a good time to be here.

Li - it's not only the weather, it's the people.  Wonderful!

Randy - ever seen signs for Fasy Children?

Russell - we saw dozens of these, too.

Teri - maybe there's a good new business in selling unique road signs.

Bill - yes, I am.

Lynda - hope you make it to Costa Rica soon.

Charles - maybe there's a custom signmaker somewhere.
