Welcome the dogs, too

Dog bowl

There are many kinds of Welcome Mats - here's one for dogs.

Our new office, ALVA International, is on a section of Beach Drive in downtown St Petersburg that is frequented by people walking their dogs. Whether it's a hot day and they want a cool drink, or whether they just want to sniff something new, the bowl outside our door is a popular stop.

Dogs live in downtown St Petersburg, too, so we want to make them as welcome at our office as their owners.

Inside we keep treats for our clients' dogs when they come to visit.

There are nearby restaurants that allow dogs at the outside tables, and our soon-to-be-open next door neighbor, Wags, is a doggie daycare and dog spa - so perhaps we'll have even more visitors taking advantage of fresh water.

You rock, Sharon!  I'm a dog lover and think this is wonderful.  St. Peterburg is so beautiful.  I wish you much success with your new office.

How fun Sharon - a built in niche based on your office location. Sounds like your new neighbor will be a great fit!

And with a "Now Listed" board conveniently located by the doggy bowl, you provide nice reading material for the owners while the doggies take a sip!  Very nice!

I like this. Our office is very animal friendly and along with our associates, many clients drop by with pets and it's been a very nice situation. I hope the new year is treating you all well!

This is a very nice idea! You have set up a great way to pull in foot traffic - even if it is only to your billboard or window listings.  Great!

What a great attitude! Too many places here in California put up these stupid signs that say, "NO DOGS!" I don't have a dog, and I understand that there are health considerations, but when the business yells at me, "NO DOGS!", I yell back, "NO MONEY!"

Sharon - Too clever.  I wish you great success with it!

Sharon...likewise, our office is right in Midtown and we get lots of dog walkers. I have not been doing it lately, but I put a bowl of water AND a bowl of treats out when it's my office duty time.

You should SEE the looks the other agents in my office give me...they think I'm crazy! But my desk is towards the front of the office, so when any doggies stop, I pop out the door, and say hello to both the dog and the owner. One of these days, I'll sell someone something from that!

Shirley - thanks.

Debbie - a team is always greater than its parts.

Renae - is that good multi-tasking?

Laura - come on by!

Russell - so far, so good.

Kathy - we like both four-legged and two-legged foot traffic.

Russel - love me, love my dog.

Wendy - thanks.

Thom and Ray - it's not about what the other agents in your office think, it's what your clients and potential clients think.
