Often on the weekend it's difficult to reach agents to set up showings - you leave messages, but you don't get calls back. There are lots of postings on Active Rain about that.
Well, today was not that kind of day here in St. Petersburg.
This morning I was setting up showings, and called four agents. All of them called me back within 30 minutes.
This afternoon I called an agent to ask about a short sale property - I had a call back within 5 minutes.
When I called another agent with a response to an offer - there she was answering the phone.
Today I was batting 1,000. It's another great day in St. Petersburg and a wonderful start to 2009!

Sharon- That's a terrific beginning to the new year. Perhaps the agents that have decided to stay in the market are the ones willing to work at it.
does sound like a good start! Happy New Year!
I showed property yesterday and the listing agent for one of them called me today for feedback. I heard the message and called her back and left a message. I like to be cooperative in that manner.
"Oh, What a wonderful World this could be."
Marilyn - quite possibly.
Joeann - good beginnings.
Angelia - colleagues accomplish so much more than opponents.
Kevin - enjoy it while it's her.
Morning Sharon,
I hope this will be trend setting for 2009 and not an indicator that everyone was home or close to the phone recuperating from their busy holiday schedules.
Sharon - that IS encouraging. I have had days like that as well, even in 2008, and it was always so gratifying. See, it CAN be done.
Jeff
Perhaps the serious agents have gotten a wake up call. Swim or sink! Last year, we had a situation where most agents never returned the calls.
What a great day. I always try and respond as quickly as possible and make arrangements that will suit buyers agents (and sellers too) and it's nice when others reciprocate!
Hal - I hope so, too.
Jeff - we need to focus on the times is done well.
Jim - it could certainly be the economy now, and the survivors.
Russell - the good agents have always responded quickly.
