This morning I went in to my new office on Beach Drive in downtown St Petersburg Florida, ready to assemble furniture, answer phones, and whatever else would be appropriate between Christmas and New Year's.
It was interesting to watch the modes of transportation that passed our window:
First were the bicycles, two lines, one in each direction. I wish I'd had my camera and it's video mode handy.
There were walkers, of course, many with their dogs.
There were joggers and runners.
There were trolley tours - interesting to listen as they went by: "Here is the largest collection of Fine Arts on the west coast of Florida" or "here on your right are all family-owned businesses" (not true)
There were Segway Tours
Of course there were cars passing in each direction and parking where they could
There were Horse Drawn Carriage tours - Clydesdales, of course.
What an interesting place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee!

We have a similar mix in Waikiki. The climate allows so much flexibility.
Hi Sharon, It sounds like you are going to have a lot of activity around your new office and that is a good thing.~
Hi Sharon ~ It sounds like you made an excellent choice in location for your new office. I love the idea of sitting and watching the world go by.
kk
There seems to be a lot going on around you and watching all this activity can be fun. I wonder if the Segway tour would work here?
Shaorn,
Obviously I can do the same thing you do since we are in the same climate.:)
Sharon--Sounds like a lovely place to work. I would prefer the trolleys, joggers and Segways to the salt stained cars, winter boots and snowmobiles we are seeing around here! :)
You picked a great spot! Sounds like you can do some awesome "people watching" as my mother calls it.
~Renae
It seems you picked a really good location (although you already knew that, didn't you?) Your office seems to be in a central location and easily accessible. Those are 2 great options!
Kathy
Randy - we're both so lucky to be in wonderful, warm climates.
Shirley - we love the activity already.
Kristal - especially if you have camera in hand while you're watching.
Jennifer - there are actually a few different Segway tour operators here in downtown.
Neal - that's ok with me.
Teri - that's why I live here. I do enjoy looking out at the snow, and even being out for short intervals when it's pristine ... but those aren't most of the time.
Renae - we love leaving our front door open and hearing the bits of conversation as people pass.
Kathy - oh, yes. It was the availability of this location that made us move - we hadn't been out looking.
Sharon, Downtown Austin and Lady Bird Lake are areas with similar modes of "transportation" and a great place to drink coffee and people watch! I also wanted to drop by and with you and Tami the best in your new office over the next year!
Russell - thanks so much for dropping by. Tami and I often talk about you, and do wish you a wonderful 2009!
