Real Estate Views from St Pete

We've moved

The team gathered at 7 am to load our cars and SUVs with the things that weren't properly packed for the movers. Fortunately we're only moving 2 blocks away, on Beach Drive NE in downtown St Petersburg.

The movers arrived at 8 am, and we were amazed at how quickly they loaded things. We all looked at each other and knew it was worth the price of hiring professionals! I wanted to take a video of one running around each desk with "Saran wrap" as he sealed all the drawers shut.

It took about twice as long to unload as to load, but that's because they were resecuring the Ls of the desks and placing furniture and boxes in the various rooms of the new office.  They were done by late morning. It's good we haven't bought the new conference room table and chairs yet, because that's where we had them put all the boxes. Better to take them our one at a time and unload, rather than live in a "construction zone".

It felt SO GOOD to be in our newly renovated offices, just the way we designed them. We love our new location, and it's exciting to be our own, new company.

Congrats! We just went through a move too! It is a lot of work, but the energy on the new digs will be worth it in 2009!

Sometimes a new office even if its not a new company can really give off a new energy and in today's market any positive energy is good.......

Glad to hear that you got moved....you obviously do not live in the Seattle area as nothing much is moving here with all this snow......

Sharon,

Congratulations.....I don't envy you.  When we bought our new building - it was only next door to our old office and moved across a parking lot.  I would rather move my home than my office......

Finally...*WHEW* We moved 4 years ago and it was very difficult. The upside was that we had a huge house warming with hundreds of clients and SOI and it really gave us a boost! Best to you, Tami and the rest of your team in the new year!

Posted by Russell Lewis, Broker,CLHMS,GRI (Realty Austin, Austin Texas Real Estate) about 3 years ago

Kathy - even the unpacking is fun.

Russell - we'll probably have ours in February as I will be away for most of January - planned that before deciding to start a new company.

Cars and houses are quite expensive and not every person can buy it. However, business loans was invented to help different people in such cases.
