It's ready!

Ready to move in

This was late Friday afternoon - the walls are up, the moldings are done, the painting is finished, and the carpet is in.

From the beginning of the build-out, it has been 10 working days - a fantastic accomplishment, especially considering that 4 inspections were required from the City of St Petersburg: framing, plumbing, electrical and final.

One of my clients, CRS Building Construction, did the work, and they have been fabulous to work with. Every day I was impressed by the crews they had working on this build-out.

So - even though the phone and internet lines aren't ready, we're planning to move in on Monday the 22nd. We still have some furniture to buy, but the incredible amount of daily decisions is basically behind us.

So - ALVA International, Inc. will be opening on Monday, December 22nd, at 238 Beach Drive NE in downtown St Petersburg. Come on over and visit!

I love it!  This is sooo exciting to me!  Starting off the new year with a new business, a new office, your own digs!  Seems like you'll be doing fine in 2009!!  Congratulations again!

Pat - I'm looking forward to seeing you! Hope your sister continues in a rapid and successful recovery.

William - yes, those are our new offices. The red reception area is in the front, then Amy's "open" office. Beyond that is an office for me, and one for Rob and Tami, and in the back is our conference room, bathroom and two storage rooms, all about 1,000 sq ft. Glad you like the colors - we do. ALVA is my maternal grandmother who was a feisty gal who took on the world, as well as bringing our family into buying real estate. We started at 7 am this morning, and yes, we've been working evenings and weekends. It was all worthwhile, though, as we sat in our new offices today.

Kristal - Thanks! We in a HOT location, too. We feel right at home, even before the boxes are unpacked.

Renae - there are lots more news, especially for Tami.
