There are some old-fashioned things that I love to see in modern homes. These push button light switches are one of them.
Yes, I know the advantages of the swish of a finger on a pad, or the tap that will return the exact degree of lighting when you leave the room, but ...
You don't have to figure out what and where to touch the switch. Just push the button that' sticking out the most.
There's also something wonderfully rewarding from the feel of pressing the switch.
These are switches (with shiny brass face plates) in a $799,000 restored 1912 home in Old Pasadena in St Petersburg Florida.

Sharon I agree, I prefer to push the button that is sticking out instead of trying to figure out what to do to get the light on.
That is really a beautiful house. and I am sure you have a market segment who appreciate older restored homes.
Hi Sharon,
Those old push buttons brought a smile to my face. They remind of of our old church basement as a kid.
I love the old push buttons style and new construction homes are just starting to bring them back.
Sharon, I haven't seen any of the push button light switches but I love the home in your photo. Beautiful!
Hi Sharon a really neat property. The wall color ( Dining Room?) and the wall-covering are a bit telling but the switches are nothing short of cool. I can't remeber where I saw these in my childhood but I do recall them and not sure they were anywhere in our home. But I remember playing with them and seeing the little light spark when in the dark and pushing the button.
We don't see many of those types in my area but in NY I saw it in my own neighborhood.
Jennifer - yes, there are people who love the historicv homes.
Lynda - ah, the memories. They remind me of my grandparents' house.
Barb - I hadn't noticed that trend - thanks for pointing it out.
Shirley - you have the pleasure ahead of you.
William - I don't remember the light spark - I'll have to try these at night.
Neal - too many new homes in your area for these, I guess.
we had those in my Nan's house and I loved them...Kelly
I like the old push buttom switches also. thanks for the memories and for sharing your post.
