Brad Andersohn posted about how to use the forms feature in google docs and how to insert it into your blog posts. I thought that would be a good opportunity to
test whether his instructions worked
and
see who uses google docs
so here is a form I did in google docs in just a few minutes:
9/19/08 - just to update you, it's pretty neat to check the responses on the spreadsheet. 71% of the respondents use google docs, 19% do not.

Sharon,
I want to utilize this to possibly put floor plans and other documents that will be download able for the consumers to take right from my blog or website.
Hi, Neal, Happy Sunday! Do you currently upload your .pdf of floor plans and other documents to your website and then link to them from your blogs?
Sharon - somehow AR was giving me fits when commentings so sorry one of mine may not make sense. This looks awesome and can't wait to give it a shot myself!
Sharon-
I tried making a sample form on Google earlier today. It came out lousy. I guess I'll need to concentrate a bit more. You did a great job.
Actually, I reblogged Brads Google Form post!
Sharon - This is the first I have heard of this but will try it out.
Cyndee - you'll have fun playing with it.
Matt - it took me a little trial and error. You'll get the hang of it.
Shirley - let me know how you make out.
Just FYI - you can also edit the response form that pops up once form is submitted, you can have it say anything you like. Great job with setting this up Sharon. :-)
Hi Sharon, A long time user of Google Docs, I still had no idea this could be done. I sure like the idea and there are several ways it might be useful to incorporate in the posts. And at least you allowed comments, Brad didn't, on his first post. I will check now.
Sharon, I am learning so many great things here and this is one more to add to my list. I have been pretty busy actually selling real estate so have not been able to devote as much time to learning as I would like. Thank you for posting this in a helpful and easy to follow format!
Brad - thanks for your help. I'll have to look into editing the response form.
William - I love using Google Docs, too, and this was new for me.
Russell - Star Brad's instructions as a Favorite - maybe some day you'll get to look back at your Favorites.
Sharon,
I took your advice. I have been here in Austin and don't have as much time to work on Active Rain as I would like (I am NOT complaining). My learning curve has been steep but I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I am hoping to incorporate all of thee great ideas into our website at AvenueOne and also make a serious attempt at putting out 2-3 good blog posts every week! Thanks for your continued help and support!

Russell - I'm so glad to hear of the progress. Please be sure I have your website and blog so that I can set up an RSS feed.
Sharon, I am fairly new to AR, but have checked out Google Docs. I guess that I still haven't discovered all there is to it, but when I have more time I will learn how to use it better. The best part about it is it is free.
Troy - I really appreciate google providing so many things free. As for advertising - I'd much rather have relevant advertising than not.
See update above.
