There is currently an optional box to check after we comment, "Notify me of new comments".
Often I want to know if the blogger post another comment, whether in response to me (which encourages conversations) or in response to others, but not to have 30 or 100 comments from others coming to my e-mail or My Home.
Could you add a second box as an option,
Notify Me When the Blogger Comments?
Would anyone else like to see that choice?

I have thought of that too and yes please I would to see that choice added. ~Rita
Rita, thanks for adding your voice. Since the post I discovered Brad Andersohn's Active Rain Suggestion Box. If you have time, please go there and add your voice to the suggestion.
Sharon - what a cool tool - let us know how you make out -can think of lots of great uses for this.
Hi Sharon,
Good suggestion. I discontinued checking the bos for notification for the same reason. Hope the rain gods can accommodate us.
That does make good sense. I'm sure it will be done. I've been going back to the questions of interest, just to follow the conversation.
Cyndee - will do.
Hal - please add your suggestion to the Active Rain Suggestion Box as well. They may not be checking here.
Matt - when enough people want something, Active Rain generally follows through.
Love this idea! I often end up un-subscribing after I read a few comments from the author of a post. I'll be sure to go to the suggestion box and add your idea. We can call it the Simms Option.
Debbie - as long as they add the option, I don't care what they call it! Thaks for the suggestion, though.
Great suggestion...nothing stinks more than a post getting featured and you get inundated by 100 emails of responses.
Jennifer - Exactly! Glad to hear from you, hope all is going well.
This would be a great idea! Oftentimes I would like to hear a response from the original blogger, whether it is in response to my comment, or someone else's. What kept me from checking the "notify me of new comments" box was the concern that I would be innundated with tons of comments from everyone on the post. Also, if I was checking the "notify me" box on multiple blogs or posts, I could potentially receive hundreds of emails in a day, and I was not interested in that.
Hi, Troy - exactly my point. Thanks for commenting.
