Boat to lunch in St Petersburg

At noon some friends pulled up at the dock behind our house to pick us up for lunch. We got on board and all boated over to the yacht club on Pass-a-Grille. We had a leisurely lunch inside - it was too hot for us to want to sit on the deck in the sun, and we could see the yachts just as well from inside. We showed our friends around the renovated club (the St Petersburg Yacht Club purchased and merged the Pass-a-Grille Yacht Club a year ago. For us it's closer by boat than the St Pete club. By car, we're about 10 minutes from either club. There are at least a couple of dozen nearby restaurants when we can take our boat for lunch or dinner.

Sharon, I think it is so cool, and highly social as well to travel over to the restaurant by boat. It's that great Florida living you get to promote.

Gary - yes, it's part of the lifestyle. It's also one of the benefits for living in our neighborhood of Broadwater - we're a 10 minute drive from either downtown St Pete or St Pete Beach, and we can boat to lots of places quickly.
