Can you tell what's in this photo?
It's 2,008 people - Chinese - in perfect coordination during the Opening Ceremonies of the 2008 Summer Olympics.
The precision of the performers in the various Opening events was astounding, whether on the ground or in the air.

Just amazing what you can do with enough time and energy, not to mention a few thousand people.
Sharon, the opening ceremonies last night was just amazing! Watching those 2008 drummers in perfect synch was incredible.
It was a rippling drop of water - in the form of a couple thosand people! It was certainly beautiful!

Morning Sharon,
I was so impressed with the opening ceremonies! They surly have outdone themselves with all the preparations, training, and planning. It will me a most memorable event.
Gene - the scene last night truly was amazing.
Brian - I think the drummers were my favorite as well.
Renae - to think that those fluid motions could be propelled by a couple of thousand people all in sync...
Hal - they will certainly be hard to top.
That opening ceremony was absolutely imaging. The next Olympics will have a hard time matching that.
I don't think we'll ever see anything on an epic scale like that again. It's not London's style..they'll do something completely different. I kept thinking as a I was watching, that the footage would make a great IMAX film. I'd go see it!
