This waterfront home in St. Petersburg was built in the early 70s, and though it has been updated and has a pool, it's not what today's buyer wants.
This house does have a unique lot, though, and is located at the tip of a peninsula, so that the seawall wraps around the house and the site has a wide view down the canal.

Maybe the photo is a little small, but this house looks pretty nice to be a tear down!
Pat - the house would have been fine for some people. Unfortunately, we have no "new" lots available for people to build what they want, so when a house is the same price as a vacant lot, the house gets torn down to make a vacant lot.
I am new to the area and am interested in waterfront. What would a ballpark figure be to insure a 6000sq ft home (assume value of $3million)? I know taxes will vary from 18-24mils depending upon where it is located./
