We've heard about closing costs, furniture and even cars, but Taylor Woodrow Homes has come up with a new twist: buy a new home in Palma Sola Trace in Bradenton, Florida or a new home in Founders Club in Sarasota, Florida, and Taylor Woodrow will put $11,000 into the Florida Prepaid College Plan for a child of your choice. Students can choose to use this at Florida state universities, community colleges, and a selection of private colleges as well.

Sharon - now that's a creative incentive if there ever was one! That's great for families. For those with no kids or kids already out of the house, do they offer $11,000 off the price or $11,000 in closing costs?
Creative incentive!
Ann
Hi Sharon, how ya doin ?
Amazing how creative one gets to bring attention to a property. Pretty cool it would go to something of great value like education. I assume that money grows until used....
Michele - yes, it grows.
Ann - I would assume you could get the $11,000 however you wanted it - that's what we've done with several builders whose offer isn't exactly what the buyer wants - could be changed to closing costs, buying down the mortgage rate, new furniture, additional extras, and in some cases can come off the price as well, though not all builders are willing to lower their price of record.
An amazing idea.
Reminds me of something I read recently. When someone suggested thinking "outside the box" to someone, the reply was "What box?"
