Property flyers - in my opinion - should be primarily for property information. Naturally they should have the agent's name, company and contact information, but isn't it going too far when there is more information about the agent/company than about the property? When pages talk about how wonderful the agent is?
If you want to have all of this information, then please have two sets of flyers/brochures - one for you to hand out to your own clients and at Open Houses, and one that's less advertising for those of us who are bringing out clients.

Sharon,
I have seen an agents whole life story rolled up in an info tube...what a waste...in my area those tubes aren't good because they get wet inside after it rains...why not at least enhance the home features versus the agents resume. Are we selling the house or are is the agent hoping someone who recruits will call them?
Michael - I think flyers in the boxes on signs have a bit more leeway - but, thinking of one I saw this week - when more of the flyer (all of the back and part of the front) is about the agent and company than about the property - hmmm.
Bill - agents choose all different kinds of ways to market themselves, don't they?
Randy - at an Open House, I can see the agent having personal promotion brochures on the counter or table, where an unattached prospect or even your client can pick them up, but handing one to your client is tacky.
Linda - I hadn't thought about that, though I do prepare business cards for my listings with the photo and address on one side and on the back the web site for that property.
Barbara Jo - just like in the MLS, we have a branded visual tour, but outside we can use a branded one,.
Julianna - yes, people want at least one sheet of paper so that they can write notes about the property.
Laura - thanks for the comment!
Dan - Yes, that's true. Actually I don't have a problem giving that kind of flyer to my buyers - either they want to work with me or they don't. I still think it would be more appropriate to have one property brochure and, if wanted, one agent/company promotion. People can either take one or both. In any case, I don't lose sleep over it.
Neal - I think they're hoping that both buyers and sellers will call them.
Continuing comments: We could be greener by having a single sheet of paper (yes, could be printed on both sides), and we could have links to property sites and agent sites. Then the information is available to whoever wants more info, but not "in their face".
When I make flyers for new properties, I put an image of my bussiness card at the bottom below three different financing options. I put it at the bottom so thatit is the last thing they read.
