Mini Tripod

Yesterday at the CRS Sellabration I attended a panel on Technology Tools that Pay for Themselves, moderated by Mark Porter, with panelists Sam Miller, Doug Divitre and Pat Wattam. One of them held up a mini tripod, that looks like it was rubber. Since then, searching on the internet, I found this Mini Tripod by Vanguard. It sells for $1.73 and weighs .12 ounce - at that price you can get one for all your camera friends. I've never dealt with CyberGiftCenter.com which is offering this - has anyone else?

Sharon,

Not a big risk here dealing with Cybergiftcenter.com.  It's a buck seventy-nine!

Are things that bad in St. Pete?

Sharon, Thanks for the info.  My husband has been looking for a mini tripod so I sent him the link.

I'm going to check this out!  Sounds like the deal of the century!  Can if be purchased using paypal?  If so that's a pretty safe way to buy.

I have a small video/photo camera, and stability is an issue. WOuld be great to use a tripod, but it used to be lontg ago that with tripod you could use a cable to make shots, and now you can't, so there was no point in using the tripod, because when I had to push the button, the whole things moved.

Hi Sharon,

Thanks for the heads up on this. I was in the same class (and loved it btw) however I missed the beginning so I think I missed this. Thanks again.

Hi Sharon,

I'm one away from the CRS designation put off for 9 months and I hope you had a good time in Hawaii with a few of my friends...I was shopping for one but haven't found the one I want...I need to feel it before buying it so I'm not sure I'll buy it on-line or not.

Kevin - I love how we sometimes don't look at ourselves! Thanks for the smile and the mirror. You're absolutely right - who cares about $1.79? I guess my comment was based on something I ordered (I blogged about it a year or so ago but have since forgotten what it was - I think it was software that had to be sold as an addon to hardware and the company included a card with the order to make it "legal") and I was so disgusted with the obvious deception that I just didn't want to support a company with those ethics, even if it $1 at a time.

Roberta - hope it helps. I carry around a mini-tripod but this was really a MICRO tripod. It was cute, light and useful,

Mary - I'd even send cash rather than risk identify theft.

Thesa - do you carry yours around in your purse or keep it with your camera?

Dave - You're right. I could have done that in less time than blogging about it

Jon - I often wonder why they get rid of great older technology when they bring in new stuff.

Lynda - they were throwing ideas out so fast we could have missed something just by writing down the last idea.

Neal - hope your last CRS class is a priority. You didn't say whether it's a required class or an elective. If it's an elective you can take the CLHMS class for elective credit - two are scheduled in the next few months in Miami, one that Moore-Moore is teaching and one that Simms-Simms is teaching.

janeAnne - this would make a great Christmas stocking stuffer for your son.

Randy - thanks. I knew he was but couldn't find him. I'll go back later and edit in a link to him.

Gene - keep working on your CRS. It's probably the most widely respected designation in the industry.

Specialists tell that loans aid a lot of people to live their own way, just because they are able to feel free to buy needed stuff. Moreover, different banks present collateral loan for all people.
