"They" say that you shouldn't carry a computer is what is obviously a computer case and shouldn't carry a camera in what is obviously a camera case - too easy a theft target in an airport, coffee shop, etc. Someone once suggested disguising it by carrying it in a diaper bag! I'm not that crazy, but
since I like Vera Bradley bags, it wasn't a far stretch when I saw the Vera Bradley luggage line to buy this rolling 17" travel tote. And if someone takes off with you - you'd know it's yours, unlike the ubiquitous black case (though this one comes in plain black - defeats the disguise purpose - or a blue and brown pattern.
You certainly wouldn't expect a computer here - but it's very convenient with all the pockets and dividers for everything that you carry. Telescoping handle and in-line skate wheels save your back from carrying a heavy load. Meets carry-on requirements.
Not for everyone's taste, of course - but it suits me and it's fun.

David - thanks. Maybe you can share a style that appeals to you that triggered from this one.
Cindy - yes, life is too short. Enjoy now, people as well as things. Shopping for your daughter in law should get easier and easier as Vera Bradley keeps expanding her line. One store here in St Pete, Marion's, has a really extensive stock of Vera Bradley, almost a shop within a shop. Placemats, aprons, book covers - even luggage. :)
I'd bet a dollar to a donut that David did not write that response; however, if he did . . .
Tell me Sharon (you know me pretty well), would those colors complement my appearance? If so, maybe I will consider purchasing one. Would black be better? Maybe black and blue together would be more appropriate.
Sharon,
Keeping up with the designer styles ay? The only thing I might suggest is a different color...that read really stands out and might catch the eye of those diaper hawks:) Clever idea!
Linda - just google "Vera Bradley luggage" and you can get it online or find a local retailer.
Jennifer - I love wheeled bags. The only thing missing in this one is spinner wheels - the ones that go in all directions and let you turn on a dime.
Vicki - yes, I'm a red girl, too.
Ed - since you're you, and not living in Florida at the moment, I'd go with the black one. The organizing pockets set it apart from the typical computer bag.
Gary - it all depends on whether you want your tie to match or coordinate - believe it or not, Vera Bradley has a collection of ties as well - to match, you'd order the Mesa one. As soon as it's available - Nov 21st - I'm ordering a Fujitsu S300 portable scanner that can either plug into an outlet or just use your computer's USB and that will go nicely in my new computer case.
Neal - I think the blue/brown is more diapery. Don't you think the red-black paisley print suits my outgoing personality?
Patricia - just watch me do the grand entrance with that bag to the next CLHMS class that I teach!
Barbara Jo - guess we're just Red girls.
Teresa - Thanks for the comment. I used to sleeve and stuff mine, too. We'd be a team with my red print and your bright pink T.
