Praying for buyers
This morning when reading the local newspaper I couldn't help but notice the article regarding a real estate agent in Manatee County, Florida, Tierney Foster, who has organized a Call to Prayer for noon today at Woodland Baptist Church, with a second set for August 31. Other agents involved in sponsoring this, Kyle and Terri Henson, said the prayers are more to help sellers than helping themselves. Read the rest in the Bradenton Herald.

Thanks for sharing - I read the article and found both that and the posted responsed very interesting.
Hmmm.... That's an interesting one. From that article it's difficult to really say what the "call to prayer" was about. Yes, it says that a "slow real estate market combined with a belief in God were the inspiration," but I'm curious about what the real focus was.
I realize church leaders are only human, but do you think that they would really support something that was completely business driven. And besides, what would they get out of it? Rich REALTORS as tithing parishioners?
All I can say is, "interesting." There's my food for thought... :-)
Sharon, Thanks for sharing the article.
An interesting approach to prayer. Seems to me that the people who are living in Lebanon and Israel have some prayers that need answering. Those unlucky souls who live in Iraq might have some prayers that they want answered.
Jason's comment about church leaders supporting "something that was completely business drive" is also very interesting; cannot figure out whether he is pulling the reader's leg or not! Perhaps his sense of humor is similar to mine.
Sharon,
Great post. Thanks for sharing.
