iPhone

iLike my iPhone! My last Treo just didn't make it for me - the buttons are too small, and though it's compatible with our MLS, it just didn't earn my affection

The iPhone, on the other hand, I enjoy just looking at it. My clients and people around me like it.

So it only works on AT&T and I've used Verizon, and my team is all "IN". I still like my iPhone.

I saw on the news today (online version) that a teenager cracked the code for the iPhone...not sure what code, but they were making a big deal out of it...I just glanced quickly at the article, but you could probably Google "iPhone, Teenager code" and find it without any problem.

I saw the same story John did, but it didn't mean much to me. But I guess the world is disappointed that the iphone is limited to one server. But I'm glad to hear you like it so much, 'cuz I'm with ma bell.

The iphone looks really neat.  Unfortunately At&t does not have good tower coverage in my area.  I am stuck with verizon.  Have fun.  When they expand to other companies I will have my chance.

Sharon, I'm glad to hear you like it, I was curious what people thought of it.  I also heard a brief report on the code being "cracked" but didn't hear the whole story.

Sharon,

there is a way to open it , but I am no sure if it works for the rest of the same kind of providers, as Tmobile or not, I do not know, I will ask later !

Will it open your "lockboxes" too?

John - I think he cracked the code so he can use the iPhone on other networks. Not a big deal for me.

Dena - I would have been happier to have server choices, so I could stay with Verizon, but c'est la vie.

Vicky - it's a fun phone. I hear that people in New Hampshire are buying it even though they have no AT&T service there.

Carole- it's one of those things that every time I use it, I'm happy.

Ray - that's a bit too techy for me.

Ed - unfortunately, no. I have to carry two phones now.

The cracked code probably is referring to the code that "locks" the phone to particular network.  For example, the Samsung Blackjack that I bought was locked for use with AT&T but I got the code to unlock it and it now works for T-mobile.

Jonathan - I think that's right.

Linda - I love romance. Dinner by candlelight. Skinny dipping at midnight. The moon reflecting over the water. Candles flickering in our fireplace. Being with someone you love!

The Iphone does work for the listings database system that most agents use at http://www.BostonApartments.com .  The back-end database and the Iphone is great for the agents so they can be out with their clients and look up more info and listings.

A BIG downfall is that you cannot upload a picture to a listings as an agent on the road.  The Iphone actuallly greys out the browse button to pick and send up a file.  That combined with the lack of the ability to cut and paste text on the Iphone makes anything but diplaying and searching what's already up on the web as listings is the limitation of the Iphone. The I[hone compared to the Windows Mobile 5.0 smartphones abilities make the Iphone a great and superior web/data viewer but NOT a web listings update tool.

Eric - it would REALLY be nice to have one phone that could do everything. I have to carry my old Verizon Treo because that's what opens our lockboxes.
