Grand Bohemian Hotel and Condos in Downtown St Petersburg Announce Financing

On Monday, July 16, Kessler submitted to the City of St Petersburg confirmation of their $120 million in financing for the Grand Bohemian Hotel and Condos at the corner of 2nd St N and 1st Ave N in downtown St. Petersburg.

The closing for the property at 100 Second St N is scheduled for August. This financing confirmation was required before the closing.

Construction of the Grand Bohemian will start this fall and completion is expected for Fall 2009. The building will be 32 stories, with the condominiums above the hotel. 52 condominiums and 254 hotel rooms are planned. Staggered balconies scaling the corner of the all-white tower will resemble an Asian lantern.

Sharon, this is so interesting.  I hope you can take pictures of the "during" phase of the building....is this right near your office?

Sharon that is some major renovation! Interesting plan with the condos on top of the Hotel rooms. I wonder if the future owners of the condos are going to benefit from the on site management as in a condo hotel type of property and  be able to rent them per diem or be subject to a separate rental program and a limit on how many times one can rent them. I like staggered balconies, they are more private.

Carole - yes, it's just a block away.  You can check it out at grandbohemianresidences.com

right across from Starbucks.

Lloyd - no, this isn't a condo hotel. I imagine the minimum rental period will be a year. The staggered balconies will be unique in our downtown.
