LuxuryProperty.com

While in Austin, Tami and I met with Dan Waterman and Michael Miller of LuxuryProperty.com and heard about their upcoming website and their creative and extensive program for luxury real estate properties and the agents and companies who handle luxury properties. Dan attended the recent CHLMS class in Phoenix, and Michael attended the CLHMS class this week in Austin. The site will focus, obviously, on luxury properties, but will incorporate listings, blogs, and multimedia, as well as profiles, agent links, and much, much more. Look for the release of a beta version this summer. There are three levels of service, one being free, and there are prices for individual agents as well as for entire companies. We’re waiting for their launch with baited breath…

Sharon - can you keep me informed on when this happens. I would love to incorporate my luxury blog into their site. I find there are not too many agents that specialize in luxury properties actually blogging about their niche. Maybe I'll be considered a pioneer! :)

Sharon that sounds like a great niche market - thanks for sharing. It will be interesting to see it develop. You certainly do a great job bringing info about the area's Luxury market - keep up the good work!

Good information. We need more free options in the luxury business.

Jennifer - yes, I'll keep you posted.

Cyndee - thanks for your comments.

Endea - yes, free is nice.

Sharon, what's a "luxury property" anyway?  Based on price?  Location?  Have seen some pretty highly priced homes that I certainly would not consider a luxury property.

As far as the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing is concerned, luxury is the top 10% of the market, but not less than $500,000 with the caveat that it does need to be luxury - there are some tear downs and kickdowns over $1,000,000 but that doesn't make them luxury homes.

Sharon, Rob Murphy (one of the other LuxuryProperty.com fellas whom you haven't met yet) spotted this blog and passed it on.  Grazie for the recognition.  Things are looking really good for our launch and we're seeing a lot of support throughout the industry.  I can't wait to see you and Tami again, however, I won't be around while you're in Vail...I have to run off to the big apple for a week on business.  The upside is I will get to check another "Life To-Do's" off my list....watch July 4th fireworks over the Statue of Liberty.

All the best,

Daniel

Daniel - thanks for your comment. So sorry that we won't see you in Vail (is your other colleague going to attend our CLHMS class there?) but do envy you watching fireworks on Independence Day over the Statue of Liberty.

I'd like to say more about luxuryproperty.com but will obviously have to wait until you're ready to expose it.

We'll be in San Francisco for Blogging, and fly back on Thursday morning Aug 2nd. Hope we'll be able to see your official launch!

Sharon,

I left you some info on our launch and how we're looking this morning (in your email).  We now have a demo site that everyone can visit:  www.luxuryproperty.com/demo

I'm hoping that Sean can attend the Vail course for CLHMS, but am not positive yet.  Eventually everyone in our company will have the designation...it's our requirement.

Please tell Tami I say Hi and I hope to see you both soon.

Daniel - Thanks for your e-mails.  The demo looks great - you might want to either add an instruction or delete "Coming Soon". Only because of your comment did I click on titles or the photo to see some of the other pages. Glad everyone in your company will have the designation, and hope that Sean will be in Vail.
