Active Rain Keyboard Shortcuts

Just as some of us are right brainers and some of us are left brainers, some of us prefer keyboard shortcuts, and others prefer to use the mouse. I find it much faster to stay on the keyboard than to move my hand to the mouse, move the mouse, click and go back to the keyboard. So here are a couple of Active Rain keyboard shortcuts for those of you who prefer them, and may not have tried them.

When you finish typing your blog, just hit ENTER and then TAB and the cursor is right down in the Tags Box for you to type in your tags.

From there hit TAB 4 times quickly to get to the box For real estate professionals, or 5 times to get to For Consumers.

Alas, if you have lots of groups, as I do, then you'd better just move the mouse down to Post Blog Entry - it's actually faster.

And a tip for when you're making Comments - once you've typed in your fruit, just hit ENTER - no need to move over to the post button.  (And just like posting a blog, once you've finished typing your comment, you can just hit TAB twice and you're in the Fruit Box.)

Sharon, you make it sound so easy...and fast!  I need to print it out and have it in front of me when I try this :)  Thanks for the time saving tip!

Carole - go ahead and print it out, matters not howbest you can use it.

Roberta - see Carole's answer. You can print it, save it, or remember it. Just use it.

Chris - yes, I do.

Emmett - moments add up.

Marchel - old age akes it especially useful.

Dave - indeed it does.

Typing Class, remember it well.  Signed up for the class because I figured that there would be lots of girls in the class and I recently determined that it wasn't too bad being surrounded by females.

Peekskill High School, 1954!

Sure remember lots more about typing than I do plane geometry or physics.  Typing has helped me more too!

Type the "B" key with the index finger on my left hand; just like I was taught so many years ago.

No letters on the keys and a manual carriage return thingy on the upper right side of the typewriter (manual and not electrical - way before the IBM typewriters came out).

Thanks Sharon, you have brought back some nice memories.

Now where in the world in Toni B?  Think she would remember me?

Ed - if you remember her, there's a good chance she remembers you.

I don't remember ever hearing keyboard vs mouse in left vs right brain  -  people who like stories are right brainers, and "just give me the facts" are left brainers.
